And oh my word – I feel so proud!! Yup! Even my hubby loves this one (and that is very high praise indeed!) Hehehe!
And judging by the response this has received on Facebook already – she’s a hit for sure! Huge smiles here! :0) Already I have had five people asking where can they get the image (in the first hour) and so many likes – I’m feeling so amazed at the response with this one… blushes.. :0)
I was feeling rather ill on Friday – an extra bad flare up with the Fibro where my blood pressure had dropped extremely low.. so once I could get into a sitting position and do something, I decided something quiet and still.. (like colouring) was my best bet… so out came my pens… and a colouring marathon ensued for the rest of the day. Smiles.
Yesterday I made one of those images into a card – and this is it –
I designed the card base myself – and cut it out with my little Bliss (aka Silhouette Cameo machine.) If you would like the template for yourself – in Studio File format – then click here. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Fibromyalgia Association Charity (check out my just giving page by clicking the Donate button on my badge in my sidebar. Don’t worry you won’t be committed to donating – it just takes you to my page.)
My sweet stylish gal is called Chantelle At The Races, and she is available from Make It Crafty.
To bring her to life I used my Copics in the followings shades:-
Dress & Hat – C3. 1. 0. Dress Sash & Hat Rosettes – W9. 7. 5. White Opaque Pen.
Hair – W9. 5. C0. Eyes – G07. Roses & Shoes – G07. 17. Skin – E13. 11. 00. 000. Grounding – E43. 41. W0. 1.
Colouring this one image took me over an hour – I just kept going until I felt happy.. and I have to admit even when I put my pens down finally I was a little unsure.. lol.. it wasn’t until I mounted her onto her card that I felt truly happy with what I had created! Ho hum!… I haven’t quite being this adventurous before – being so “stark” with skin tones – adding so much definition to give the effect of muscle tone etc… I have been experimenting the last few weeks for noses and cleavage & under chins etc.. – and I decided to take it a step further.. I’m very pleased with it! Smiles.
My wonderful lace corner is from Cheery Lynn Designs – and is the B166 Lace Corner Die. I used my Core-Dinations All In The Family Blacks Card Stock to cut it with… and isn’t it just lovely?! Smiles.
The fantastic backing is also done with my Core-Dinations All In The Family Blacks Card stock – I have embossed it with my Creative Expressions Lattice Folder… which I then sanded and buffed using my sanding block and dust buddy. (I love how this turned out too! Hehehe.)
I did the same with my inside panel too – the insert had been created with my SWALK Cd-Rom – the very first one from the three that are available. I simply set my printer to greyscale before printing – so that it would match the rest of my card.
My ribbon and slider are from my crafty bits n bobs – the slider is plain silver – and I added my green stickles to it to match my card.
The slider originally came from Ebay (a fairly long time ago – but it may be worth a search if you would like some of these.)
The little flowers have been embosses using my Cupcake board and the pearls are from my crafty bits n bobs.
The double lines I embossed using my Ultimate Pro.
The card base and the white matt & layer card are both White Centura Pearlescent Card. They are nice thick quality and have the most wonderful sheen to them. :0)
